The "Star FM" Pioneers have been defeated by a talented Knox Raiders team 86-79 at the IceHouse Friday night. The Raiders lead for most of the night as the Pioneers were never able to get the jump on the visitors. Raiders who brought an impressive line-up including Week 7 player of the week CJ Massingale as well as former NBL and SEABL veteran Glenn Siegle.

Glen Siegle dropped 27 points for the visiting Raiders who were without Craig Simpson. But most of his damage was done down the stretch when he made a number of big buckets. Import, CJ Massingale also added 14 for the Raiders.

Jon Shepherd continued his form from last Sunday adding 21 points for the Pioneers whilst Ryan Blankson added 29 after a slow start to the outing.

The Pioneers travel to Ballarat next Friday to take on arch-rival Ballarat at the WIN Minerdome. Ballarat have been struggling to date, however you can never underestimate the Matt Shanahan lead Miners who will undoubtedly bring his best to the must win game.

The Pioneers next home game is on the 4th May against the Ballarat Miners - BE THERE & BE LOUD!
