PIONEERS SIGN JEFFREE FOR 2007 SEASON In further signings towards the quest for a championship, Pioneers Basketball club has successfully negotiated terms with swingman Dallas Jeffree. After his second season playing SEABL and achieving the clubs highest honour in the Allan Scott medal for MVP in the 2006 season, the Pioneers were determined to give Jeffree every opportunity to play in a championship team. Dallas averaged 24 points and 9 Rebounds per game, while shooting the ball from the field at an impressive 43% together with similar numbers from outside the arc. According to Coach Sedlock “ Dallas will be an integral part of the Pioneers plans for the upcoming season and his return to the team will bring a sense of stability to the team while we work toward achieving our goals for the next year or so.”
The signing of Jeffree is also sure to please
basketball Mt Gambier stalwart Beth Serle, with Dallas now a regular in the
junior coaching ranks guiding an U16 boys team in the local competition.
