MEDIA RELEASE: PIONEERS ANNOUNCE HEAD COACH FOR 2008
The Scott's of Mount Gambier
Pioneers mid season struggle has continued with a loss to
the Bendigo Braves by 11 at the IceHouse in their first
Saturday night home game for 2008.
After providing 9 in the first
quarter, Glen Barlow provided his season high points with
19, Jim Cochran had 17 and Jason Sedlock had 15 without the
same impact fans witnessed over the seasons first two
months. Tristan Parham provided his worst performance for
2008, being charged with six fouls and not providing any
scoring output in his 26 minutes of action. Jeffree was the
Pioneers best with 28.
The Braves, like the Pioneers
have not enjoyed tremendous success so far this season and
new import Dustin Bremmerman provided one of his more
favourable performances with 22 points. Former NBL player
and regular SEABL participant Cam Rigby once again displayed
his ability to get the job done. Former Pioneer Chris Novak
was once again in uniform for Bendigo adding 14.
After a handful of losses in
recent weeks, the Pioneers will be very keen to bounce back
and reconstruct their season at home this Friday against the
Southern Districts Spartans. The Pioneers have never
defeated the Brisbane based team since their inception last
season. |
